I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for the state of Alabama and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for the state of Florida. In addition to these licenses, I am a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC. I also have extensive training in the use of Sandplay Therapy. My training and experience has concentrated in working with children, families, and adults. I often work with adults who are experiencing problems with relationships, anxiety, past abuse, and grief & loss. I actively serve in several counseling associations where I often present workshops on a variety of topics to both professionals as well as parent groups. Some of the various topics have ranged from helping professionals work with grieving children to helping foster parents help their children. I have also written several articles which have been published in both local news papers, various newsletters.

I believe it’s important for each person to be the person they want to be. In the journey to become who each of us hopes to become, we must all experience much in life. One such way it to find enjoyment in life. I encourage all my client’s to find something outside of their normal day to day activities which they can find to help them find many joys in life. In this, I too, have found that helping others is one of my enjoyments but in my search I have found something new along with way. I encourage everyone to find something in life, that you enjoy spending time doing.
